The Masters 2018

Tiger Woods returns to the Masters 2018 with a real chance to pull off the greatest major win ever. The tee times and groupings have been announced for the first two rounds of this year’s Masters Tournaments, so now two pressing questions remain.

The first – “Who’s going to win?” – is one that can’t be answered until Sunday.
The second – “Who should I watch?” – is one that can be settled right now.

2018 US Masters is quickly approaching and the list of green-jacket contenders seems longer than ever thanks to the emergence of some new talent and the revival of several old reliables. We’ve combed through all potential players—and their odds to win, according to Westgate Las Vegas Superbook—to come up with a top-13 ranking that is bound to change in the final weeks leading up to the first major of the year.

Masters 2018: Tiger Woods playing great, Phil Mickelson with a win under his belt this season, Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Dustin Johnson and Justin Thomas all with wins in this calendar year and innumerable young stars ranked in the top 10 in the world, this could be an all-time major. There’s only one more day until the opening round gets underway at Augusta to wear a green jacket on Sunday afternoon.

Woods is a real, competitive golfer. There’s been no sign of that in any of his prior, short-lived, depressing comebacks. Those were slogs at every turn. Every hole felt like a challenge, partially covering your eyes because that bad thing you think might happen is probably going to happen. There was nothing pleasurable about those comebacks, regardless off how you feel about Tiger. Now he arrives at Augusta off three top-15 finishes on the Florida swing, including a runner-up in Tampa and a Sunday charge at Bay Hill that whipped the golf world in a frenzy like it was 2005.

Tiger Woods’ last major tournament win came in the US Open back in 2008. The 42-year-old will try to turn back the clock with a win in the Masters tournament this weekend. The four-time Masters winner hopes to carry this momentum into a strong showing this week.
